If you read through our ROACH CONTROL article, you’ll learn that roaches can live in extreme conditions. So my best guess is any roach eggs you might have in your stuff will surely live for many months and I believe they can easily survive even with the hot temps you describe they might be enduring. So if you want to be sure your stuff is roach free before bringing it inside, you’ll have to wait at least 1 year before bringing it in. Alternatively, you could do some simply preventive maintenance inside your new house to make sure any you do bring in won’t stand a chance at surviving.
And the best way to protect your home is to set out some ROACH GEL. As our article explains, cockroaches love this stuff. So if you did bring any inside, they no doubt would be very hungry. And if they were introduced to any room that had some Roach Gel set out, they’d surely find it and start feeding. This alone is pretty much all you’d need to do inside your home to keep it roach proof.

Something else worth mentioning is that you could also spot treat the contents of what you have in the truck with some PHANTOM AEROSOL. This is an odorless aerosol that goes on “dry” which is highly effective on all insects. So if you were to treat your belongings and let them sit for 10 days, any roaches that might be in there would die assuming the treated area is out of the weather, sunlight, etc.
Phantom can also be used inside the home and since it’s odorless and works on all pests, it’s a good product for use inside the home.
